In Memoir, Virginia Giuffre Alleges Her Father Abused Her and May Have Taken Epstein’s Money
Giuffre, 41, had been working on the book before her death by suicide in April

Virginia Roberts Giuffre — long known for her public accusations against financier Jeffrey Epstein — claims in a new posthumous memoir that her own father sexually abused her and may have accepted hush money from Epstein.
The book, which Giuffre was co-authoring prior to her death by suicide in April at age 41, is set for release Tuesday. Within its pages, she details years of trauma, alleging that her victimization began at the hands of her father when she was just seven years old — years before Epstein began grooming her at 16.
Her father has denied all allegations, maintaining that he “never abused” his daughter and asserting in a statement included in the memoir that he had “no knowledge of what was happening with Epstein” until reading about it online.
Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts Jr., spoke emotionally with NBC News’ Hallie Jackson, saying he confronted their father directly after learning of the allegations.
“I just told him — we know,” he said, his voice breaking. “You were our dad. You sexually abused your daughter. What he did was absolutely monstrous.”
In her memoir, “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice,” Giuffre recalls Epstein showing her a photo of her younger brother — then still in middle school — as a warning to stay silent about “what goes on in this house.” She further implies that her father may have received money from Epstein sometime after the abuse began.
Her brother also remembered noticing unexplained purchases during their youth.
“He’d suddenly start buying nice things — a boat, for example,” Roberts said. “If any money really was wired to him, that would be disgusting — absolutely disgusting.”
The final years of Giuffre’s life were defined by her tireless calls for legal accountability for Epstein and those who enabled him. Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while in federal custody, shortly after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.
Epstein had previously pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting sex from a minor, serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence. When federal prosecutors in New York filed new charges in 2019, he was again taken into custody — but died before facing trial.
Giuffre became a key figure in exposing Epstein’s network, providing evidence that ultimately helped lead to the arrest and conviction of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s close associate. Giuffre said she had been trying to rebuild her life after a turbulent adolescence when she met Maxwell, who then introduced her to Epstein.
According to Giuffre, both Maxwell and Epstein groomed her for sexual exploitation and trafficked her to powerful men within Epstein’s circle. Maxwell, a former British socialite, was convicted in 2021 on five counts related to sex trafficking for her role in recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein’s abuse.
Giuffre’s courage inspired other survivors to share their own stories of exploitation. When she died in April, her attorney described her as “a fierce and extraordinary advocate for other victims.”

I pre purchased the book because it is the only way I can support her I hope everyone who is against sexual exploitation will buy the book to show how many of us believe the victims and want the perpetrators to be held accountable.
Her life was so devastating. After all of the sexual abuse as a child and young teenager she thought she finally found love, safety and security. Then she married a man who physically abused her and controlled her and of course her money.
That’s not unusual for someone who grew up in an abusive environment. The warning signs aren’t there her safety zone was shattered first by her father then Epstein and his “girlfriend.”
And of course she was made to feel that she didn’t deserve better.
It’s heartbreaking.
