If only she had won! But the "manosphere" atmosphere we currently live in (read: men insecure about their masculinity) prevented a woman from becoming president–again. I made a bet with a friend, when I was living in Mexico 53 years ago–that Mexico would get a female prez before the US. Guess I should go collect my $50!

Somehow I'm not surprised...disappointed, 100%, but not surprised.

Exactly! Now that we're going back to the 12th Century again, complete with Crusades and suppression of women, I have to ask myself: how did Ms. Atwood know this was coming so soon??? Ah, wait! She's CANADIAN!!

Kamala's door is always open to us. She is listening. She is talking to us. We should pay attention.

Of course! Only money matters. It's the logical last phase of capitalism: greed!

This is perfect timing for Vice President Harris to come out and rally the troops. She’s super smart, super strong, and still has plenty to offer our country. She is definitely inspiring in the face of the shit show the FI’s voted in to office. We are down to a right or wrong moment and any and all leaders willing to step up should be praised and encouraged by we the people upon whose shoulders it actually lies to save our democracy. The idea that a female is weak is so passé; I for one, refuse to give in so easily.

Months too late making an appearance. Not impressed or interested. Her bolting will thwart any future electoral victory. The opposition will call it, “female weakness,” and say, “The nation needs strong leadership in such perilous times,” blah, blah, blah. And the worst of it is, they will be correct in this. We Are living in perilous times specifically due to Trumpist fascism killing everything good about America.

Like it or not, the real politik assessment of the situation is this: the Democratic Party must run a male candidate. Thankfully, there are many excellent choices for a candidate. Americans have shown that they are not ready yet to elect a female leader. This, despite the quality of female leadership internationally—and in the cold assessment, perhaps because of that quality leadership. Especially after however long Trumpist fascism lasts and however much damage is done, capable strong leadership will be needed to right the ship of state onto an even keel again. Sad that it cannot be her, but pragmatically true. And let us not forget her appallingly inappropriate first reappearance actually was the snarky, “I Told You So!” a few weeks ago. No one liked that in the elementary school and definitely not irt the unity of thw nation. Forget it!
