New York City shooting live updates: The suspected gunman is dead, sources say

At least one police officer and one civilian have been shot at the Park Avenue building, law enforcement officials said.

What we know

• A shooting was reported this evening at a high-rise midtown Manhattan building, two senior law enforcement officials said.

• At least one police officer and one civilian were shot inside 345 Park Ave. in New York City, the sources said.

• Police said the shooting was carried out by a lone gunman. Four law enforcement officials told NBC News the suspected shooter is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

• The building at that address houses several tenants, including Blackstone, KPMG and J.P. Morgan.
