The idea that increasing the representation of women in positions of power will automatically lead to greater gender equality is deeply ingrained in society's narratives. However, while diversity in leadership is undoubtedly important, it's essential to recognize that simply having women in influential roles does not address the systemic barriers and power imbalances that perpetuate gender inequality.
