Harris’s candid critique of President Biden has shaken Washington’s political establishment — and raised a difficult question: can a woman reclaim her political voice without being punished for it?
According to "the public" she won't be able to do anything right. Half will support her and half will find reasons to hate her. For me, that was one of the main points the article made. The media will, of course, dwell on the reasons to hate her. Also, for me, I will dwell on the good. She took some time to think, to process and to decide on a path forward. That's such a female thing to do. We need to let her tell us her chosen path in her own way.
I have been a little surprised at some of her remarks in general. I get that it was difficult for her and I’m so sorry of that political outcome; she was what this country needed. However, what I think is hurting her more is her silence since losing. She claims to be a fighter; she fought hard during those 107 days; where is the fight now?
It's all very logical and foreseeable. Harris was sidelined as sidekick, Biden held on too long, Harris was hobbled and muffled even during her campaign, and now she's speaking out, saying the things that were always clear to the world.
Misogyny is the first and greatest of her hurdles, as it is for all women in public life, and private life. As it is the cornerstone of patriarchy, and patriarchy is joined at the hip with capitalism, there is no doubt that conditioned responses are deeply tied to the perpetual system that denies women. SEE Julia Gillard, Jacinda Ardern, Sanna Marin, just for example. I mean WTAF
I'm pissed she doesn't support Mamdani. And more, but it's over time for a woman to be POTUS. Whatever her faults are from a Left viewpoint, being a woman is not one of them.
She needs to stop whining get out of her way and notice rotten 🍊 is inhumane treatment of Americans lives how is she showing us who she is? How has she stepped up fighting the treasonous coldhearted decietful hateful lying government.
She isn't strong enough for the mess Americans are in. Grow up care about the people not just herself.
Kamala Harris was a true warrior. She was thrust into the impossible race with 100 days to campaign. Biden had decades of time to become President. Frankly, Im tired of folks, especially women and the far left for nit picking Everything she did. She came within 1.2% and only lost the electoral vote over three swing states by about 200,000 votes…those millions of dems whom stayed home are the cause of what is occurring now. I dare any of you who criticize her, even now, to run for office with only three months.
I am disappointed also by her silence after the beginning of the DJT regime. The Dems need fighters, politicians who connect with the base and realize the need for profound change. That the answer is not simply getting beyond DJT but also mobilizing successfully communities for change on the local level and nationally. Pushing back against the corporate influence in the Party and moving towards a Party that is accountable to the base, not corporate lobbyists, the political machine consultants - the established political class.
I worry that our country is wrapping itself around the axle because we can’t really stand to hear the truth, whatever side we’re on. Kamala Harris is a brilliant woman. She is caught up in a party that has yet to recognize the generational change that’s barreling down towards them. I can only wish her well, whatever she chooses.

Good Question, Nonnie.
